Dharma R. Polisetti

VP, CMC at vTv Therapeutics

Dharma Polisetti is the Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) at vTv Therapeutics. Dharma has been with the company since 2010 and previously held the positions of Senior Director, Director, Associate Director, Principal Scientist, and Senior Research Scientist.

Dharma's experience in the pharmaceutical industry spans almost two decades. Dharma began their career as a Research Scientist at vTv Therapeutics in 2001 and was quickly promoted to Senior Research Scientist the following year. In 2003, they were promoted again to Principal Scientist and then to Associate Director of Chemistry in 2004. Dharma became Director of Chemistry in 2006 and Senior Director of Chemistry in 2007 before assuming their current role in 2010.

Dharma's experience and expertise have been instrumental in vTv's success in developing small molecule drug candidates for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. Dharma has played a key role in advancing several of vTv's drug candidates through preclinical and clinical development and into commercialization. Under their leadership, vTv has built a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that is capable of producing high-quality clinical and commercial supplies of its drugs.

Dharma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Madras in India and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Vanderbilt University. Dharma completed postdoctoral fellowships at Vanderbilt University and Yale University prior to joining vTv Therapeutics.

Dharma R. Polisetti completed a postdoctoral fellowship in porphyrins at North Carolina State University before completing another postdoctoral fellowship in organic chemistry at National Tsing Hua University. Dharma then earned their Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Hyderabad. Finally, they completed their M.Sc. in organic chemistry from Kurukshetra University.
