Patrick McDonnell

Patrick McDonnell is the current CEO of VTX1. Patrick has over fifteen years of experience in operations and management, with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Most recently, McDonnell was the VP of Operations at FTS USA, a UniTek Company. Patrick was responsible for implementing an exit strategy to close down money-losing operations and moving the company into new markets. This resulted in increased profits, doubling digit growth for the company.

Prior to that, McDonnell was a Managing Consultant at Hitachi Consulting. There, they worked on rolling out mobile phone services for a major cable company. Patrick also developed and implemented an in-house inventory management system that reduced expenses per device by 37%. This led to $2 million in cost savings for the division. In addition, they improved client supply chain processes, resulting in a 58% decrease in monthly transportation costs for the division.

Before their time at Hitachi Consulting, McDonnell was the VP of Operations/COO at Mango Global. Mango Global is a hardware manufacturer and mobile payments and transaction processing company serving the needs of emerging economy countries with mobile solutions for managing virtual inventory and process automation. At Mango Global, McDonnell worked with the CTO to move electronics hardware manufacturing and testing to an outside source. This resulted in a 25% reduction in the cost of materials while also improving product delivery time. In addition, they worked closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to improve virtual inventory planning. This led to a 40% reduction in funds tied to inventory, freeing up cash flow for other parts of the business.

Patrick McDonnell has an MBA in Business from Bellevue University, a Certificate in Executive Management Leadership from Emory University, and a Certificate in Logistics from The Logistics Institute. Patrick also has a BS in Business from Auburn University at Montgomery. Patrick is certified by the State of Alabama as a General Contractor, by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors as a General Contractor License #75313 - Public Utilities Communications, by the State of Arkansas as a General Contractor License - Arkansas, by the Louisiana Secretary of State as a General Contractor License - Louisiana, and by the State of Tennessee as a General Contractors License - Tennessee. Patrick is also certified by the American Society for Quality as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
