Derek Hays has extensive work experience in the marketing, product management, and technology fields. Derek began their career in 1995 as a Marketing Manager and Webmaster for the Network Professional Association (NPA). Derek then served as a Marketing Assistant and Webmaster for Centre for Neuro Skills. In 1997, they joined Intel Corporation as a Senior Product Manager and Global Technology Team Manager for the Sales & Marketing Group, and as a Marketing Program Manager for the Reseller Channel & Network Branded Marketing. In 2006, they moved to IM Flash Technologies as a Global Technology Team Manager for the Enterprise & Business. From 2009 to 2018, they worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Global Technology Solutions Manager and Product Manager. In 2020, they were the Director of Marketing Operations for SaltStack, and in 2021 they became the Director of Demand Generation & Marketing Operations for Vulcan Cyber.
Derek Hays holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Brigham Young University, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from Brigham Young University, Certificates of Database and Web Frontend from Brigham Young University - Idaho, an Adobe Certified Expert-Marketo Engage Business Practitioner from Adobe obtained in November 2020, and a Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA).
