Jacob Baines

Jacob Baines is an experienced technology leader in the cybersecurity field, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at VulnCheck since September 2022. Previously, Jacob held the position of Lead Security Researcher at Rapid7 from October 2021 to September 2022 and worked as a Principal Industrial Control Vulnerability Analyst at Dragos, Inc. from December 2020 to October 2021. Jacob's earlier roles include Principal at Dark Wolf Solutions and Principal Research Engineer at Tenable, where Jacob contributed to the founding of Tenable's Zero Day research team and was responsible for over 100 assigned CVEs. Jacob's background also includes positions at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Computer Information Research Scientist, Kyrus Tech as a Security Software Developer, and SPARTA as a Software Engineer/Reverse Engineer. Jacob earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology between 2004 and 2009.
