Julie Blum has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2023. Julie started their career as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins University, where they conducted extensive research on the epigenetic regulation of the estrogen receptor alpha gene in breast cancer. During their time there, they successfully communicated their findings through publications and presentations.

In 2006, Julie transitioned to a role at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein and Fox, where they worked as a Technical Specialist and Patent Agent. Julie utilized their expertise in patent law and technical knowledge to support the team.

Following that, Julie joined Arnold & Porter, LLP in 2009 as a Patent Law Clerk, where they gained valuable experience in patent law.

In 2011, Julie embarked on their entrepreneurial journey and founded Julie Blum Photography. As the owner and photographer, they provided customized portrait photography services, specializing in maternity, newborn, baby, child, and family portraits. Julie'sbusiness catered to clients in the Baltimore metro area, with a focus on Frederick and Howard Counties. Julie successfully ran their photography business until 2015.

In the same year, Julie started their tenure at Med-IQ as a Clinical Content Manager. Julie excelled in this role and eventually became the Director of Clinical Content, leading the development and management of clinical content for the organization.

Currently, Julie works at VuMedi as an Industry Program Director, a position they began in 2023.

Julie Blum has an extensive education history. Julie completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from PennWest Clarion from 1995 to 1999. Following that, Julie pursued further studies and obtained their PhD in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University from 2000 to 2005.

In addition to their academic achievements, Julie Blum also holds a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace. Julie obtained this certification from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
