Philip Mercado

Philip Mercado has extensive work experience in talent acquisition and recruitment. Philip currently holds the position of Associate Director of Talent Acquisition at VXI Global Solutions, LLC, where they have been working since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at the same company from December 2019 to November 2021, and as the Talent Acquisition Manager from December 2017 to December 2019.

Before joining VXI Global Solutions, LLC, Philip worked as the Manager of Operations at Tech Mahindra from October 2015 to November 2017. Philip also served in various roles at EGS - Expert Global Solutions, including Recruitment Manager from May 2013 to October 2015, Recruitment Supervisor from November 2011 to May 2013, and Senior Recruitment Specialist from January 2010 to November 2011.

Philip also has experience in communications and media. Philip worked as the Manager/Consultant for Communications at Santuatio de San Vicente De Paul from June 2010 to March 2011, where they were responsible for developing external communications channels and tools using traditional and new media. Philip also worked as a Consultant/Editor/Contributor at the Philippine Center for New Media Development from December 2009 to January 2010.

In addition, Philip has teaching experience as an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher and Trainer. Philip worked at Beijing Language and Culture University from June 2008 to July 2009, where they taught English to government and private professionals and students preparing to study abroad. Philip also worked at Changchun University from August 2002 to January 2008, where they taught Conversational English, Business English, Tourism English, and Technical Writing to non-English major students.

Throughout their career, Philip has demonstrated strong communication skills, strategic planning abilities, and a focus on talent acquisition and development.

Philip Mercado completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Adamson University from 1997 to 2001. Philip also studied at St. Vincent College Seminary during the same period, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Theology. In 2001, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Sociology with a major in Philosophy at the University of the Philippines. Additionally, in 2002, Philip obtained a certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from De La Salle University. Philip holds certifications in Executive Leadership and Influencing Others from LinkedIn, obtained in 2022.
