Scott Bis has a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. Scott started their career at Dow in 1993 as a Senior Research Chemist in the Agricultural Chemicals Process Research Lab, where they developed cost-effective synthesis strategies for potential agrochemicals. Scott then moved to Dow AgroSciences in 1998 as a Senior Scientist in the Insect Management-Discovery Research team, focusing on designing and synthesizing molecules with broad-spectrum activity against insect pests.

In 2001, Scott joined Dow's Advanced Electronic Materials R&D as a Senior Development Specialist, leading Six Sigma projects in both R&D and manufacturing. Scott later became a Senior Development Specialist in the Superabsorbent Products TS&D division, where they guided customer support activities and led a qualification program. Scott then transitioned to Dow Coating Materials R&D, where they held roles as a Research Leader and Senior Research Manager, overseeing innovation portfolios and leading R&D teams for the development of waterborne maintenance and protective coatings. Scott also served as an Associate Marketing Director, responsible for sustainability and licensing activities, as well as coordinating regional and global initiatives.

In 2013, Scott joined Kemin Industries as the Global Director of Research and Development, managing the R&D team for Kemin Nutrisurance and providing innovative solutions to the petfood and petfood ingredients industry. Scott later held the position of Vice President of Research and Development and Vice President of Marketing.

In 2021, Scott worked as a Global Business Director at both Albemarle Corporation and W. R. Grace & Co., overseeing teams of professionals and acquiring profitable partnerships in the fine chemical manufacturing services sector.

Throughout their career, Scott Bis has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in research and development, marketing, business development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Scott Bis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Saginaw Valley State University in 1989. Scott then pursued a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Wayne State University from 1989 to 1993. Later, they obtained an M.B.A. in Executive Management from the DeVos School of Management at Northwood University between 2007 and 2009.
