Ava Castro

Ava Castro is a dedicated professional pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Interdisciplinary Art at The University of Georgia, expected to graduate in May 2024. Currently serving as a Center Assistant at The University of Georgia since August 2024, Ava also works as a Classroom Teacher and Sales Associate at The K. A. Artist Shop. With experience in publications and event coordination at WUOG 90.5 fm since August 2019, Ava has contributed to organizing fundraisers and local concerts. Previous roles include working as a Dawg Camp Counselor, Co-Blog Editor for Fair Fashion, Head Stylist and Creative Director for The UGA Agency, and an Art Teacher at Main Street School of the Arts. Educational background includes a High School Diploma in Visual Art and Drama from DeKalb School of the Arts. Passionate about sustainable fashion, Ava’s diverse experiences reflect a strong commitment to the arts and community engagement.
