Ishaq Kothawala

Ishaq Kothawala's work experience began with internships at United Insurance Brokers Limited, Allianz, and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, they worked as an Actuarial Analyst at EFU Life Assurance Ltd., where they were responsible for valuations and reinsurance accounts. From 2010 to 2014, they held the role of Head of Actuarial Department at Pak Qatar Takaful, overseeing multiple lines of business and leading a team of actuarial students. Ishaq later served as a Senior Executive Vice President at Pak Qatar Takaful, responsible for corporate sales and the development of alternate distribution channels. In 2016, they joined Bykea as the CFO & Chief Strategy Officer, playing a crucial role in establishing the startup. Ishaq is currently the CEO and Founder of Waada Digital Insurance, where they aim to build an omni-channel insurance provider in Pakistan.

Ishaq Kothawala obtained an Associate's degree from the Society of Actuaries (USA) in 2010. Prior to that, they attended Cass Business School from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Actuarial Science. Ishaq also completed their A-Levels at The Lyceum, although the start and end years are not specified.
