Steven Jones is the current Dean for Professional Development at Wabash College. Prior to their current position, they served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Indiana University Health from April 2012 to August 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the leadership of Human Resources functions including: Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion and Leadership Development. As a member of the senior leadership team, they participated in strategic planning and the attainment of the goals of the organization. Steven was also responsible for the life cycle of all Academic Health Center (AHC) and System Services team members spanning from the sourcing/recruiting, on boarding, developing, providing competitive rewards, recognition and benefits. Steven ensured the effectiveness of all policies, procedures and standards of Human Resources supporting the operations of the AHC and System Services to ensure quality patient care, effective medical staff relations, fiscal responsibility, and objective system of evaluation.
Before their time as Vice President of Human Resources, Steven Jones served as the Director of Recruitment, Staffing & Diversity for IU Health from October 1993 to August 2016. In this role, they were responsible for leading all aspects of recruitment, staffing and diversity initiatives for IU Health. Steven oversaw a team of recruiters and staffing specialists who worked to attract and hire top talent for IU Health. Steven also developed and implemented strategies to increase diversity among IU Health employees.
Steven Jones has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wabash College.
