Catherine Shannon

Catherine Shannon has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry, specializing in the design of shapewear, body fashion, swimwear, activewear, performance lifestyle, intimate apparel, and hosiery. Catherine is currently working as a Designer at Wacoal America since 2022.

Prior to their current role, Catherine served as the Founder of BeDesign from 2019 to 2022, where they provided consulting services for design in various fashion categories and accumulated nearly 30 years of experience in bringing ideas and innovations from concept to consumer.

Catherine also worked at Hanesbrands Inc. from 2014 to 2019 as the Director of Design, leading the design and execution of shapewear across all brands. Catherine played a crucial role in conceiving, designing, and fitting the #1 Shapewear style at Kohl's.

Before that, Catherine held the position of Director of Design for Shapewear at Maidenform from 2001 to 2013. Catherine created, fit, and merchandised a line of shapewear that consistently maintained over a 50% market share. Catherine started as a Designer/Manager and was later promoted to Director, managing a team of designers and a sample room.
