Jay Grymes

Jay Grymes has a diverse work experience in the field of climatology and meteorology. Jay began their career in 1986 as a Climatologist at Louisiana State University, where they later became the State Climatologist in 1991. After serving in that role for twelve years, they transitioned to become the Chief Meteorologist at WAFB TV in 2003. Additionally, they worked as a Climatologist (Adjunct) at LSU AgCenter starting in 2001.

Jay Grymes attended the University of Delaware from 1974 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Science (MS) degree. Jay'sstudies focused on Biology and Physical Geography/Climatology.
