Yesenia Garcia

Yesenia Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning various communications and advocacy roles. Yesenia currently serves as the Vice President for WE Communications, where they work with corporate clients in the social impact space. Before joining WE Communications, they were an Account Director at the same company. Prior to that, Yesenia worked as an Account Supervisor and Senior Account Executive at GMMB. Yesenia also held Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator positions at 1,000 Days, a non-profit organization focused on nutrition and maternal health. Yesenia has also worked as a Detention Project Associate at Americans for Immigrant Justice and as a Communications Associate at The Alliance to End Hunger. Yesenia has experience in strategic communication as an Account Manager at Llamame Strategic Communications. Notably, they served as an Emerson National Hunger Fellow with the Federal Policy Fellowship at the National Council of La Raza and as an Emerson National Hunger Fellow with the State Advocacy Fellowship at Children's Alliance. Yesenia Garcia received a BA in International Studies from Boston College. Yesenia then pursued a Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, specializing in Human Security and Global Health. Additionally, they studied Global Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Before their graduate studies, they obtained a degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
