Wagner & Hines Associates is a joint venture between Hines Associates and Dr. Ingo Wagner.  

Hines Associates was established in 2002 as a specialist corporate finance adviser to financial institutions in London and is now one of the leading advisers to insurance brokers in the UK.  

Dr. Ingo Wagner is a lawyer in Germany and has more than 30 years of experience as a management consultant with a focus on insurance at leading firms including Roland Berger, EY, A.T. Kearney (together with Richard Hines), Bain & Co, and BCG.

We have the goal of being the leading advisor to insurance brokers in the context of company sales in German-speaking countries.  We combine the expertise of Hines Associates from the UK with local presence and market knowledge.  

The insurance broker segment is currently experiencing an active consolidation phase, both in the UK and in the DACH region.  This is accompanied by a strong inflow of capital, supported by stable business models with inherent inflation protection, attractive growth potential, a highly fragmented market, and significant synergy potential for buyers.    As specialists in the sector, we have a good understanding of the business models and quality characteristics of successful brokers, the opportunities and risks for owners, and the needs of sellers and buyers.
