James Muchira

James Muchira has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of business development, management, and information technology. James is currently employed as the Business Development Manager at Wakandi since May 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Business Development at Kwara from October 2020 to April 2023, where they contributed to the development and implementation of a digital banking platform for cooperative financial institutions. Before joining Kwara, James worked as the Head of Business Development - Saccos at Craft Silicon from April to September 2020.

James also has extensive experience in the management of SACCOs (savings and credit cooperatives). James served as the Chief Executive Officer at Shoppers Sacco Society Ltd from May 2016 to April 2020, where they were responsible for overall leadership, strategic planning, performance management, and compliance. Prior to this, they worked as the IT Manager at Naku Sacco Society Ltd from 2012 to 2016, and as the IT Manager at Nawiri Sacco Ltd from 2000 to 2012. In these roles, James was involved in ICT infrastructure management, system implementation, and providing technical support.

James Muchira has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Kenya Methodist University. James also has a Diploma in Banking from Co-operative College of Kenya. Additionally, they have obtained the Certified Information Communication Technologist (CICT-K) certification from KASNEB.
