Dave Goren

Dave Goren serves as the Executive Director of the National Sports Media Association since September 2009, where responsibilities include fundraising, marketing, and community engagement for an organization dedicated to the mentorship of sports media professionals. At Wake Forest University, Goren has been a Professor of the Practice since August 2017, teaching sports broadcasting to undergraduate students. Additionally, Goren contributes to the Wake Forest Sports Network as a sideline reporter, color commentator, and pre-game host. Goren also holds the position of Director at the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association, overseeing awards and liaising with the media covering the Atlantic Coast Conference. Previous roles include adjunct instructor at High Point University, sports commentator for WFDD Radio, and various positions in sports reporting and production at WXII-TV, WJAR-TV, and WCVB-TV. Goren earned a BS in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
