Chris Bowling

Chris Bowling is currently a warehouse technician at Wake Technical Community College. Chris previously worked as a program associate at North Carolina State University from 2006 to 2019. In their role at NC State, they collaborated with college and university personnel to ensure requirements were met for all administrative duties such as graduate plans of work, residency requirements, exam scheduling, admissions and orientation. Chris also coordinated program-related events and day-to-day activities such as course and room scheduling for faculty as well as course registration and other graduate student registration needs. In addition, they served as the main program contact for all constituencies, including other units and offices, program and other faculty, current students, prospective students, applicants, community members and alumni. Chris handled correspondence and communications for the program DGPs and affiliated faculty and assisted students with their needs. Chris also maintained accurate student files on all graduate students in accordance with NC State and program policies. Lastly, they provided administrative support of HR and financial services including hiring, purchases and travel.

Chris Bowling's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from East Carolina University. From there, they went on to earn a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from North Carolina State University. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Education in Community College Leadership from North Carolina State University. In addition to their degrees, Chris Bowling has also earned Green Zone Certification and Advisor's Development Institute Certification from North Carolina State University.

They work with Brandi Hernandez - Quality Acceptance Inspector, Gerald Boyd - Equipment Coordinator, and Darrell Williams - Director of Business Services. Chris Bowling reports to Marla Tart, VP, Finance & Business Services.
