As a Walter P Moore Senior Principal, Steve brings incredible passion, creativity, and technical capabilities to his role as the Construction Engineering practice leader. Experienced in both analysis and project delivery, Steve believes that even the most complex structures must be practically detailed and designed with fabrication and erection processes top of mind. He has managed some of the firm’s most challenging construction engineering assignments. This includes everything from the conceptualization and design of an organically-shaped structural steel system which mimics a tangle of roots and massive boulders, to providing erection engineering of Mercedes-Benz Stadium's 22,000 ton long span roof structure in Atlanta, Georgia.
Steve believes strongly in the power of collaborative and highly-motivated teams, and he is a firm leader in leveraging digital workflow solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of work product. He was the 2011 honoree as Walter P Moore’s Javier F. Horvilleur Outstanding Young Structural Engineer Award.
Steve earned his Master's and Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from Virginia Tech, where his research focused on the structural behavior of large steel moment connections.
