Ian Smith

Ian Smith is the Co-Founder and CEO of Ware, a leading provider of connected home solutions. Prior to their current role, Ian served as the General Manager of US operations for tink GmbH, where they were responsible for marketing strategy, partnerships, product development, and operations. Under Ian's leadership, the company became the #5 fastest growing startup in Europe in 2018.

Previously, Ian was the VP of Growth at Constellation Labs, an enterprise blockchain startup specializing in digital ledger technology. During their time there, they grew the open source test-net developer ecosystem by 10x to 700+. Ian also served as an advisor to Commercial UAV Expo and Commercial Drones FM.

From May 2015 to June 2018, Ian was the Program Manager and Business Development Lead for DroneDeploy, where they built the world's largest drone data app market. Ian grew the platform developer ecosystem from 0 to 80 integrations and 2+ million API calls during their tenure.

Ian Smith began their educational career by earning a BS in Aviation Management from Utah Valley University. Ian then went on to earn a certification from Getty Images in Official Getty Images Contributor - Aerial photography and video. Finally, they earned certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration - FAA in Commercial Rotorcraft - Helicopter Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, Rotorcraft - Helicopter.
