Hayley Smith has over 17 years of work experience in recruitment and talent acquisition. Hayley is currently working at The Warehouse Group as the Talent Acquisition Lead, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Talent Acquisition Partner at the same company from September 2020 to November 2021. Hayley also served as the Senior Recruitment Partner at The Warehouse Group from May 2017 to September 2020.
In 2021, Hayley became a Founding Member of Excellent, a platform dedicated to the global Employee Experience revolution. Hayley joined Excellent in August 2021 and is involved in creating thriving workplace communities through networking, courses, and accreditation pathways.
Hayley's earlier experiences include working as a Recruitment Specialist (Part-time) at The Warehouse Group Financial Services from January 2015 to May 2017. In this role, they established recruitment processes and practices in a startup/greenfield operation.
Before that, Hayley worked at Westpac New Zealand Limited as a Recruitment Consultant and Recruitment Manager from February 2009 to January 2013. During this time, they focused on the Corporate Core portfolio, which includes Finance, Legal & Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, HR, Corporate Affairs, Property & Procurement, and Risk Management.
Hayley began their career at Robert Walters as a Candidate Manager and Recruitment Consultant from December 2005 to December 2008. Hayley gained early experience in the industry by working as an Assurance Assistant at KPMG from March 2004 to December 2005.
Hayley Smith obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from The University of Waikato in the years 2000 to 2003. Hayley has also obtained a certification as a Certified EX Designer from Excellent institution in the year 2022.
