Michael Held-Hernandez

Michael Held-Hernandez has a diverse work experience in the field of public relations and communications. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Account Manager - Public Relations at Mercury Global Partners since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Warehousing1 as a Public Relations Specialist from July 2022 and later as the PR & Communications Lead from September 2021 to July 2022. Michael also contributed as a Freelance Contributor for Setup/Punchline - Stand-up Comedy Online Magazine starting from February 2021.

In the past, Michael has worked at STROOMER COMMUNICATIONS as a PR Consultant / Account Manager from October 2018 to August 2021 and as a Junior PR Consultant from January 2018 to September 2018. Michael gained experience in public relations at ipse Communication Berlin from January 2016 to December 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Working Student at the University of Potsdam from October 2016 to September 2017, where they were responsible for social media and event organization for the research training group "Minor Cosmopolitanisms". Michael also worked as a Freelancer in PR and editing for axel-dielmann-verlag from September 2014 to May 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, they attended the University of Potsdam where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Anglophone Modernities in Literature and Culture.

Prior to that, from 2010 to 2015, they studied at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in American Studies.

In 2014, they participated in the Washington Semester Program at American University, where they focused on American Politics for a short period of time.

In addition to their formal education, Michael also obtained a certification in Project Management Foundations: Communication from LinkedIn in November 2020.
