Tyler Whitworth is the Senior Vice President of Global Product & Design within Discovery’s direct-to-consumer business. He leads the Product and Design teams for discovery+ globally, Discovery’s family of GO products in the US, and the Eurosport products in Europe. Prior to his current role, he served as the General Manager and SVP over Discovery’s lifestyle direct-to-consumer products, including Food Network Kitchen and Magnolia.
He brings over 20 years of leadership experience in technology, consulting, and the military. Prior to Discovery, Tyler spent more than seven years at Amazon leading product, design, engineering, science, and analytics teams to build products and services for Amazon’s Customers and Selling Partners worldwide. These included products to help Selling Partners list and manage products, price products, manage inventory, and accelerate growth through actionable business insights. In addition, Tyler led teams to set fee structures for Amazon’s third-party selling services, which generate billions of dollars in annual service revenue.
Prior to Amazon, Tyler served for six years in leadership roles in consulting, project management, and product management at Intrepid Learning, delivering educational marketing and corporate education solutions for companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, and State Street Global Advisors.
Tyler also served as an officer in the United States Army for over five years, leading communications and personnel teams for military commands in Europe and the US. Tyler holds an undergraduate degree from Seattle Pacific University.
