Stam Achillas

Stam Achillas is a seasoned professional in the marine and powertrain engineering sectors, currently serving as the Head of Business Development & Sales for 2-Stroke Decarbonisation Solutions at Wärtsilä since September 2021. Previously, Stam held key positions at ABB as Head of Product Management for Low-Speed Turbocharging, where responsibilities included overseeing the global product portfolio for turbochargers. Stam's experience also encompasses roles as Senior Project Manager at AVL and WinGD, managing projects and implementing dual-fuel technology for marine engines. Earlier in the career, Stam worked at Wärtsilä, THENAMARIS SHIPS MANAGEMENT INC, and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann in various engineering and managerial capacities, starting with a foundation in marine engineering from the Merchant Marine Academy of Macedonia and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical & Marine Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University.
