Dave Leonard

Dave Leonard currently serves as the Dean of Student Life at Washington & Lee University, where leadership encompasses a range of areas including Residential Life, First Year Programs, and Community Relations. Prior roles at Washington & Lee University include Associate Dean of Students and Dean of First Year Students, focusing on housing, student conduct, and freshman support. Earlier career experiences at Whittier College involved significant roles such as Dean of Students and Associate Dean of Students, overseeing various divisions within Student Affairs. Additional experience includes positions at the University of Florida and the University of Miami in housing and student support roles. Dave Leonard holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the State University of New York Cortland.
