Anthony Meier

Anthony Meier is an experienced social media and communications professional with a diverse background in the sports industry. Currently serving as the Director of Social Media for the Washington Capitals since February 2020, Anthony has progressed through roles such as Senior Manager and Manager of Social Media within the organization. Prior to this, Anthony held the position of Digital and Social Media Manager for the Kansas City Royals and served as Director of Communications & Creative for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. Additional experience includes roles at Kansas State University as an Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant, internships with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Pirates in media relations, and a position as a Stringer for Trib Total Media. Anthony holds a Master of Science in Public Relations from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism from Duquesne University.
