Stephen Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Stephen most recently worked at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as Senior Counsel II at WMATA from September 2016 to January 2022.

Additionally, they hold a Master of Arts degree in Humanities and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, both from Western Kentucky University. Stephen Thompson has several certifications, including Certified Internet Web Professional (CIW) and CompTIA Network+, obtained in 2001. Stephen is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional - CIPP/US, certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
