Gene Basham has extensive experience working in the field of athletic training and rehabilitation. Gene is currently serving as the Medical and Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Washington Nationals, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked for the Miami Marlins for a significant period of time. From November 2019 to October 2021, they held the position of Head Athletic Trainer. Before that, they served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer from September 2016 to November 2019. Gene Basham started their career with the Miami Marlins in June 2003 as the Athletic Training and Rehabilitation Coordinator, a role they held until September 2016.
