Baseball Communications Intern at Washington Nationals

Zoë La Cour has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2015, they started their career as a sales employee at Crumb and Get It Cookie Company. Zoë then worked as a camp counselor at Circle F Dude Ranch Camp in 2017, where they were responsible for a cabin of 10 girls and taught horseback riding lessons. In 2018, they served as a residence advisor at the University of British Columbia O. From 2019 to 2022, Zoë worked at Starbucks, initially as a barista and later as a shift supervisor. In 2020, they took on the role of rental shop supervisor at Massanutten Ski Resort. Zoë then transitioned into the sports industry, working as a customer success intern at Sports Innovation Lab in 2022, where they contributed to business development and research efforts. Zoë also gained experience in game day media relations as part of the Washington Capitals' team in 2022. In 2021, they joined Tony Britt SpotterCharts as a quality control representative and hockey lead, where they organized communications with NHL and ESPN personnel and created hockey game chart templates. Most recently, in 2023, Zoë served as a baseball communications intern for the Washington Nationals, assisting with various tasks such as writing postgame notes and managing press box materials.

Zoë La Cour's education history begins in 2013 when they attended the International Baccalaureate, where they obtained their High School Diploma. From 2017 to 2019, they attended the University of British Columbia, studying International Relations. Moving forward, Zoë pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Recreation Management from James Madison University, from 2019 to 2022. In the same year, they obtained a Certificate in Hockey General Manager and Scout from Sports Management Worldwide. In 2023, they completed a Professional Certificate in Google Data Analytics Course from Coursera.
