Jessica Symank

Jessica Symank has a diverse work experience in various roles within the healthcare industry. Jessica began their career as an RN at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2000 to 2003. Jessica then joined Virginia Mason Medical Center, where they worked as an RN, Lean Consultant, Emergency Department Manager, and ultimately became the Director of Quality and Patient Safety from 2014 to 2016. Following this, they moved to the Washington State Hospital Association and held positions as the Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, as well as the Senior Director of Safety and Quality Partnerships. Currently, they are the Business Owner of Get Your Bearings Skate Shop, a full-service quad skate shop in Seattle that caters to roller derby and recreational skaters.

Jessica Symank has a Master's degree in Public Health from Penn State University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington. Jessica also has additional certifications, including the Virginia Mason Production System obtained in May 2014 and is a Registered Nurse. Jessica is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
