Kimberly Hwang

Kimberly Hwang is a dedicated medical professional currently serving as a Medical Assistant at Dermatology Specialists of St. Louis since April 2024. Kimberly has been actively engaged as an Undergraduate Trainee at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis since July 2021, contributing to research at both the Luis Batista Lab and Todd A. Fehniger Lab, focusing on DNA damage, telomere dynamics, and immunotherapy for cancer. In addition to research, Kimberly holds the position of Community Service Chair for the WashU Premed APAMSA, where efforts include organizing community service events and mental health support initiatives. Previous experiences encompass an EMT student role at Total Access Urgent Care, leadership in a global iGEM competition project on food safety, and summer internships at National Taiwan University Hospital and Academia Sinica, where Kimberly honed laboratory and research skills. Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, following a high school diploma from Taipei American School.
