Maricela Alvarado is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in learning, development, and diversity initiatives. Currently serving as the Associate Director for Learning, Skill and Capacity Building at Washington University in St. Louis since July 2019, Maricela focuses on creating a framework for diversity, equity, and inclusion training for faculty and staff. Prior experience includes roles as Curriculum Designer at Centene Corporation and Adjunct Faculty at Washington University. Maricela also has a background in consulting through Alvarado Consulting, advocating for Latino students as the Director of the Latino Cultural Center at Purdue University, and coordinating academic programs at the University of Florida. Maricela earned a Ph.D. in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University and has additional qualifications in Human Resource Management and Education Administration.
