Edgar Murunga

Edgar Murunga has a diverse work experience in human resources and people operations. Edgar is currently the Head of People Operations for Africa and Asia at Wasoko, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Regional East and Southern Africa People & Culture Manager at Wasoko from March 2022 to December 2022. From March 2021 to February 2022, Edgar was the East Africa People and Culture Manager at Wasoko. Edgar also worked as the People and Culture Manager at Wasoko from July 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Wasoko, Edgar worked as a Talent Management professional at Anjarwalla & Khanna | ALN from October 2015 to July 2019. Edgar began their career in human resources at the Commission for University Education in September 2014 and worked there until September 2015. Prior to that, Edgar served as a Human Resource Administrator at Lupat Ltd from March 2013 to August 2014. Edgar started their career as a Human Resources Intern at Kenya Power from September 2012 to November 2012.

Edgar Murunga completed their Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management at Kenyatta University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Moi University, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Edgar Murunga has completed various courses, including "Management Accelerator part of Black Leadership Academy" and "Business Strategy" from McKinsey & Company, as well as "Mastering Communications as a Leader" from LinkedIn, among others.
