Programme Advisor System Strengthening at WaterAid

Ceaser Kimbugwe has a diverse work experience in the field of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and environmental conservation. Ceaser started their career at Environmental Alert in 2009, where they worked as a Programme Officer focused on environment and natural resources. In 2015, they joined WaterAid as a Senior Programme Coordinator for Policy and Advocacy, contributing to the organization's advocacy efforts. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Climate Change Manager at WaterAid, where they focused on addressing climate change impacts on WASH programs. In 2018, they advanced to the position of Sustainability WASH Manager at WaterAid, where they ensured effective program monitoring and reporting, strengthened donor relations, mobilized resources, and developed a climate change business plan. Since October 2021, Ceaser has taken on the role of Head of Programmes at WaterAid, overseeing collaboration arrangements with partners and leading the implementation of the water security and climate resilient WASH Programme. Throughout their career, Ceaser has also exerted efforts in safeguarding vulnerable individuals against exploitation and abuse.

Ceaser Kimbugwe received their Bachelor of Community Forestry degree from Makerere University, where they studied forestry from 2003 to 2007. Ceaser later pursued a Master's degree in Environment and Natural Resources at the same university from 2018 to 2023.
