James Kessele

Urban WASH Engineer at WaterAid

James Kessele has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. James most recently worked as an Urban WASH Engineer at WaterAid starting in March 2020. Prior to that, they were searching for a new opportunity as a Civil Project Engineer from October 2019.

From 2014 to 2019, James held the position of an Engineering Officer at the United Nations Support office in Somalia, where they supervised construction projects and facilities, ensured compliance with specifications, and carried out quality tests. James also worked as an Engineering Officer at UNMEER for a brief period in 2014.

Before their time with the United Nations, James worked as a Civil Engineer and CAD Engineer at Tetra Tech from 2012 to 2014. In these roles, they prepared detailed plans in AutoCAD for municipal water supply infrastructure, supported engineering design and construction activities, and collaborated with various teams.

In 2011, James worked as a Technical Coordinator/National Consultant for UNHCR. James conducted site investigations and supervised construction projects in refugee camps. James also briefly worked as a Civil Engineer at UNOPS and AFCONS Infrastructure Limited in 2011 and 2010 respectively.

James Kessele completed their education in a chronological order. From 1991 to 2000, they attended St. Michaels Catholic High School in Monrovia, Liberia, where they obtained their High School Diploma in the field of Senior High School. Subsequently, from 2000 to 2005, they attended Don Bosco Polytechnic (also known as Stella maris Polytechnic), where they earned a BSc. degree in Civil Engineering.
