Laura Keane

Laura Keane is the Head of Department for Student Life & Learning at Waterford Institute of Technology. Prior to that, they worked as a Marketing Executive for CUMA Credit Union Managers Association from January 2017 to January 2019. In that role, they were responsible for all print and screen graphic design materials, including event brochures, flyers, newsletters, social media posts, annual reports, consultation papers, and membership advertisements. Keane was also responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the website, posting news and blog posts as well as sourcing content from exhibitors and suppliers. In addition, they handled back-end website maintenance for membership renewals and orders, assisted with the redesign of the website, and developed and ran social media campaigns for various events and conferences.

Laura Keane has a postgraduate diploma in digital marketing practice from Waterford Institute of Technology, a BA in graphic design from Waterford Institute of Technology, and a leaving certificate from Scoil Mhuire Greenhill Carrick on Suir. Laura also has certification from the Road Safety Authority in Full clean drivers licence, Google Analytics in Advanced Google Analytics, Google Analytics in Google Analytics For Power Users, and Google Analytics in Google Analytics For Beginners. Finally, they have certification from Google Digital Garage in The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing.

Laura Keane reports to Derek O'Byrne, VP for Academic Affairs & Registrar & Secretary of the Academic Council. They work with Ken McCarthy - Head of the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning, Terry O'Brien - Librarian, and Colette Moloney - Assistant Registrar.
