Rachel Cook has extensive work experience in finance, operations, and management roles. Rachel currently serves as the Chief Finance & Operations Officer at Waterkeeper Alliance since July 2021. Prior to this, Rachel held the position of Finance and Operations Director at Waterkeeper Alliance from July 2017 to July 2021. Before that, they were the Director of Operations from April 2012 to July 2017. Rachel also has experience as an Operations Manager from January 2010 to April 2012, a Development and Operations Coordinator from October 2008 to January 2010, and an Operations Assistant from August 2007 to October 2008, all at Waterkeeper Alliance. Earlier in their career, Rachel worked at JCC on the Palisades as the Children's Department Director and Youth Services Program Director from July 2003 to August 2007.
Rachel Cook completed their education in a chronological order. Rachel first attended the University of Vermont from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies. Rachel later pursued further education at Columbia University from 2010 to 2013, graduating with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Sustainability Management. In addition to their degrees, Rachel Cook obtained a certification as a LEED Green Associate from Green Business Certification, Inc. in December 2015.
