Rutger Sypkens

Rutger Sypkens is an experienced professional with a diverse background in real estate, sustainability, and management. Currently serving as a member of the general board at Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht since March 2023, Sypkens also operates as the owner of SYRIOUS and Meet & Greet, focusing on creating positive impacts and sustainable food solutions. As a real estate and sustainability advisor for Invest-NL, Sypkens contributes to national programs related to education infrastructure. Previous roles include director at Dura Vermeer Vastgoed, manager of plan development at BAM Bouw en Techniek, and ownership of AMS Capital Netherlands. Sypkens holds an engineering degree from Delft University of Technology and has been involved in various leadership positions, including chairman of Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ and chairman of the supervisory board at Cirkelstad.
