Gerardo Filius

Gerardo Filius is a seasoned professional in crisis management and security, currently serving as Adviseur Crisisbeheersing at Waterschap Vallei en Veluwe since May 2022 and as a Reservist RMOA for the Ministerie van Defensie since January 2021, where responsibilities include regional military operational advising. Prior experience includes leading the bedrijfsbureau and service unit at ROC Mondriaan for over a decade, alongside coordinating safety and security efforts for the institution. Gerardo has also contributed to the security department at Ministerie van Justitie Curacao and conducted inspections with the Inspectie Openbare Orde en Veiligheid. Gerardo's educational background includes a Master’s in Bestuurskunde from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor’s in Integrale Veiligheidskunde from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, supplemented by military officer training at the Royal Military Academy.
