Dorna Abdi is currently an Analyst and former Intern at Watershed Advisors, where education policy research focuses on enhancing state early childhood data systems and streamlining funding technology. Dorna also serves as a Researcher at Stanford University, collaborating with Professor Dora Demszky to leverage large language models in improving teacher lesson planning workflows. Previous roles include research assistant for the National Science Foundation-funded ELAlytics project, where Dorna developed visualizations and co-designed educational experiences for middle school English Language Arts. Dorna’s teaching experience spans multiple institutions, including KIPP Texas Public Schools and SCHOOL OF THE WOODS, with a focus on precalculus, statistics, and creative writing. Education credentials include a Master of Science in Education Data Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from The University of Texas at Austin.
