Joao Torres Martins

Joao Torres Martins has been working in the industry since 1993. Their most recent work experience includes serving as Chief Commercial Officer and Market Manager at WATGRID since 2020. Prior to this, they held various roles at Unicer, including Director Asia, International Manager, Country Manager Spain OE, Director Comercial VMPS Distribuição, Director Geral Rotadouro and Regional Sales Manager. Joao Torres Martins has a long and varied educational history. Joao obtained an Eng in Food Science from Escola Superior de Bioecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa between 1984 and 1991. Joao then completed a post-graduation in gestión from CY Cergy Paris Université between 1992 and 1993. Following that, they completed a licenciatura in Food Technology and Processing from Escola Superior de Biotecnologia in 1991. Joao also completed an international exchange program in enology and food science from California State University, Fresno in 1990-1991. In 2002, they completed a PDE executive high direction program from IESA. In 2008-2009, they completed an Executive MBA in International Business from ESCOLA DE NEGOCIOS CAIXA NOVA. Lastly, they completed two Executive Programs from INSEAD in 2004 and 2012, respectively, in sales management and Strategies for Asia Pacific. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from LinkedIn in Cold-Calling Directors and Executives, Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities, and The Art of Connection: 7 Relationship-Building Skills Every Leader Needs Now (getAbstract Summary) in August 2021.
