Maggie Wang

BCI Wheelchair Software Team Lead at WATOLINK

Maggie Wang started their work experience in 2018 as a Piano Instructor/Tutor until 2022. Maggie then worked as a Pathway to STEAM Instructor at Simon Fraser University from January 2022 to March 2022. In 2022, they also joined the Midnight Sun Solar Rayce Car Team as a Hardware Team Member from September 2022 to February 2023, and as a Battery Box Team Member from February 2023 onwards. Maggie also worked at WATOLINK in 2023 as a BCI Wheelchair Software Team Member starting from January 2023. Currently, they are employed at Impossible Metals Inc. as a Robotics Test Technician starting from May 2023.

Maggie Wang began their education by earning a high school diploma from Guildford Park Secondary School, where they studied from 2017 to 2022. Following that, they attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 2021 to 2022, focusing on CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician. Maggie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, starting in 2022.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Maggie has obtained several certifications. In March 2021, they achieved the RCM Level 10 Piano certification with First Class Honours from The Royal Conservatory of Music. Furthermore, they obtained an Emergency First Aid/CPR C/AED Certification from Code Red First Aid Training in January 2022.
