Matt Assmus is an experienced executive producer with a demonstrated history in television production. Currently serving as the Executive Producer at Watt Pictures since June 2022, Matt has worked on projects such as "Rico to the Rescue" and "Home School" for HGTV. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Senior Vice President at Dorsey Pictures from October 2015 to June 2022, overseeing production and development of several notable series including "Maine Cabin Masters" and "Building Off the Grid." Matt also worked as an Executive Producer at Eyeworks Film & TV Drama from February 2006 to July 2015, where key projects included "The Biggest Loser" and "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition." Earlier career highlights include serving as a Senior Producer at MTV Networks, where Matt produced the pilot and initial seasons of "Pimp My Ride," and as News Director at KHAS Broadcasting, managing daily newscasts. Matt holds two Bachelor's degrees from Hastings College in Business Administration and Management, as well as Broadcast Journalism.
