Sowmiya Varatharajan

Sowmiya Varatharajan is a skilled civil engineering professional with extensive experience in permit design, steel detailing, and CAD design. Currently serving as a Senior Associate in Permit Design at Wattmonk Technologies since February 2022, Sowmiya specializes in creating permit designs for the US solar industry and possesses knowledge of photovoltaic systems, various storage systems, and structural design. Prior to this role, Sowmiya worked as a Steel Detailer at STRUZON TECHNOLOGIES, focusing on US projects while adhering to AISC and OSHA standards. Additionally, Sowmiya served as a Design Engineer at CHONA BUILDERS, where responsibilities included creating architectural, structural, and building permit drawings for residential and commercial projects. Sowmiya holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Civil Engineering from AVS Engineering College, obtained in 2016.
