Adriel Dean-Hall

Adriel Dean-Hall is a Staff Engineer at Wattpad. Adriel has over four years of experience in the field of search engineering and architecture. Prior to joining Wattpad, they worked as a Search Architect at Wattpad, where they drove improvements to both the quality of search results and performance of the systems that deliver those results. To deliver high quality search results, they kept the search systems up to date with the evolving way in which users want to discover content by testing new strategies, often inspired by research in the field of information retrieval. On the performance side, they ensured that results were delivered quickly and reliably as load on the system increased by optimizing the processing of queries and the efficiency of the search system.

Adriel Dean-Hall holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University.
