Orlagh Hynes has a diverse range of work experience that began in 2016 as a Spring Intern at Citi. From there, they interned at AIB's Syndicated and International Leveraged Finance Department, where they gained experience in screening potential deals, writing credit papers, and presenting to the bank's credit committee. Orlagh then worked as a Consultant at the Irish Student Consulting Group (ISCG), conducting market research and proposing strategies for a payments provider.

In 2018, Orlagh joined Morgan Stanley as a Sales & Trading Summer Analyst, where they developed a macroeconomic understanding of capital markets, provided market commentary, and performed analysis on commodities. Orlagh also worked at SMBC Aviation Capital as an Underwriting & Commercial Analyst, where they performed financial modeling, presented on profitability and risks, and structured significant financial transactions.

Currently, Orlagh is at Wayleadr, where they hold a role in Operations & Finance.

Orlagh Hynes completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics & Business at Trinity College Dublin from 2014 to 2018. Orlagh also attended University College Dublin from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiography. Prior to that, Orlagh attended Loreto Convent, Clonmel from 2007 to 2013. Additionally, they briefly studied at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2016.
