Gerardo Jimenez

Gerardo Jimenez is currently the Learning & Development Lead at Waymark. Prior to this, they spent seven years at AltaMed Health Services, where they were the Manager of Clinical Education. In this role, they were responsible for development, implementation and oversight of initial and continuing education for clinical employees, ensuring required competencies were adhered to. Gerardo also revised educational programming for all levels of specialty clinic staff in alignment with system initiatives, regulatory requirements, evidence-based best practices and associate needs.

During their time at AltaMed, Gerardo also created an annual education plan and retention strategies based upon the assessment need of clinical staff. Gerardo managed clinical education operating expenditures and budget parameters while achieving outcomes, and monitored and ensured clinical compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and accreditation standards. Gerardo also collaborated with nursing administration in developing and implementing nursing professional standards, and applicability to quality improvement, education and research.

Gerardo's experience in training and development has been vital in their current role at Waymark. In this position, they are responsible for leading the development and delivery of training programs that support the company's business objectives. Gerardo also designs and implements training programs that improve the skills of employees at all levels.

Gerardo Jimenez completed an Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting and Architectural CAD/CADD at the I.T.T. Technical Institute. Gerardo then went on to earn their Bachelor's degree in Bussines at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
