Haipei Zhu

Haipei Zhu is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in quality engineering and supplier management. Currently serving as the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer at Waymo since March 2019, Haipei Zhu has previously held key positions at Tesla, where responsibilities included leading the launch of the Model 3 body in white and improving dimensional quality for the Model S and Model X. Additional roles at Waters Corporation and Schlumberger focused on quality assurance, reliability engineering, and mechanical design, utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Educational credentials include a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and the University of Michigan.
