Shimon Whiteson

Shimon Whiteson is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Waymo since December 2019 and has held the position of Staff Research Scientist. Additionally, Shimon serves as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford since September 2015. Previously, Shimon was the Chief Scientist at Latent Logic from February 2017 to December 2019 and an Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam from August 2007 to August 2015. Shimon earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning from The University of Texas at Austin between 2000 and 2007 and holds a BA in English & Computer Science from Rice University, completed in 2000.
