M.D. Mahbubul Islam

Md Mahbubul Islam is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Wayne State University since August 2019, following a position as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Purdue University from September 2016 to July 2019, where research focused on reactive molecular dynamics simulations of high-energy materials and electric double layer capacitors. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at The Pennsylvania State University from August 2011 to September 2016, where significant contributions were made in developing the eReaxFF method and studying various aspects of Li-ion batteries. Additional roles include a Summer Intern at RxFF_Consulting, LLC, and ExxonMobil, along with previous lecturing at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Md Mahbubul Islam holds a Ph.D. in Atomistic simulations from The Pennsylvania State University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
