Susan Titus

Susan Titus serves as the President of the Union of Part-Time Faculty at Wayne State University, representing approximately 700 faculty members since May 2008. In addition to this leadership role, Susan has been a part-time faculty member at Wayne State University's School of Social Work since September 2003, teaching courses in social welfare policy and community social work. Susan also contributes to community service as Treasurer on the Board of Hope Community Outreach and Development and as a Board Member of Transportation Riders United, advocating for improved public transportation in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Susan's extensive involvement in various organizations, including the American Federation of Teachers and the ACLU of Michigan, reflects a strong commitment to social justice and community advocacy. Educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
